Updates from OWR International Partner Programs
Hi everyone! I hope you're enjoying this beautiful Monday - the weather is definitely brightening my mood today.
As you all know, we are in month 2 of the pandemic and quarantine. I've been actively keeping up to date with our international partners and how they are doing in the midst of all of this. I have some updates from a few of our programs...
Montana de Luz, which is located in Honduras, just completed its biggest fundraiser of the year, and it went great! From what I heard, it met its goal!
The children are currently living and quarantined with different staff members, and are doing well! Staff are trying to make life as normal as possible for the kids: schoolwork, chores, cooking, TV, walking around the community, etc. One young lady, Jamie, just celebrated a birthday! Happy Birthday, Jamie!
Jeremiah's Hope, located in Ukraine, is in need of extra funds for food every month. With the kids staying home, the added cost of lunch is adding up. For every month of the quarantine, Jeremiah's Hope needs an extra $300 to help support these kids. Other than this financial need, Jeremiah's Hope is doing good! The kids are well taken care of, and the staff are taking every precaution possible to keep everyone healthy.
The Harbor in St. Petersburg, located in Russia, is also doing well! However, they do ask for prayers for Grisha, the husband of one of The Harbor's mentors, as he was recently diagnosed with GI tract cancer with a baby on the way. The Harbor asks for prayers of healing and peace for Grisha and his family.
That is all the updates for now! Orphan World Relief is grateful that things are going well for our international partners and continue to pray and support them throughout the pandemic.
Thank you all for your continued support - we'll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more.
