Jeremiah's Hope 2018 Impact
FROM Andrew Kelly, Missionary & Director of Jeremiah's Hope
This year, with God's leading and your assistance, Jeremiah's Hope has been able to walk alongside the orphans, at-risk children, elderly and vulnerable of Ukraine. Here is a brief glimpse of what has been done for the Kingdom in 2018. >️ Provided temporary care to 43 children in crisis through our Rescue Shelter. >️ Created family for 4 foster children in our foster/orphan group home. >️ Conducted over 5,000 home visits to 63 children and their families in our Sasha Project. Each visit, time was spent with each family and also delivering a basic food package. >️ Provided backpacks and school supplies to 87 children at the beginning of the new school year in September. >️ Delivered a hot meal, 5 times a week, to an elderly woman in our community who has no one else to care for her. >️ Purchased and delivered 5 truck loads of firewood to elderly individuals in our community. >️ Hosted 4 weeks of summer camp and shared Christ's love with 154 orphans and at-risk children during those camps. >️ Hosted 2 weeks of "Sewing Camp" in an effort to teach sustainable skills to 9 teenage girls. >️ Developed "Hope Market" a sewing micro-business to provide sustainable jobs & income to 3 at-risk girls and one former orphan. >️ Built and powered on a solar energy station on one of our foster/orphan group home properties to generate power and provide partial self sustainability for the home. >️ Shipped 5 containers of Humanitarian Aid with the assistance of our supporters, A Child's Hope International, Global Samaritan Resources and the US State Department. >️ Provided, facilitated and delivered over 132,000 pounds of high protein fortified rice meals to orphanages, churches, feeding centers and the army along the edge of the war zone in eastern Ukraine. >️ Seen God move in the hearts of 5 individuals who gave their lives to Christ and were baptized. >️ Watched as a small church began to take root in our village, Kolentsi, and grow into a viable congregation with a regular attendance of approx. 25 adults + children. >️ An average of 8 women in our village, Kolentsi, faithfully attend mid week Ladies Bible Study. >️ An average of 20 children in our village, Kolentsi, faithfully attend mid week Children's Bible Class. >️ Welcomed 35 volunteers from America, Canada, Holland and Ukraine to serve in our camps. These are just a few of the ways that Jeremiah's Hope has been able to help impact this corner of Ukraine for the Kingdom of God! As this year comes to a close, Jeremiah's Hope needs your assistance in meeting the financial needs of our Rescue Shelter and foster/orphan group home for the coming year!
