CHILDREN NEED YOU

At the start of the 21st century, almost 150 million children worldwide are orphans. The reasons are many; their personal stories are tragic:

  • The AIDS virus has left countless children orphaned. Many of those children are HIV positive and unwanted.
  • War and civil unrest have created populations of orphaned children. Some are abandoned while others are forced to become soldiers in legal and illegal armies.
  • Alcoholism and poverty are two factors that have created social orphans. These children live on the streets to escape abuse, neglect, and the horrors of forced enslavement and/or prostitution.

But there are orphanages and orphan relief efforts out there willing to help. They provide orphaned and abandoned children with:

  • Shelter
  • Food and water
  • Education
  • Medical care
  • Emotional, psychological, and/or spiritual support to help them succeed as adults

OUR PRIMARY PURPOSE

Orphan World Relief's primary purpose is to help these orphanages and orphan relief efforts by providing the financial backing and support they cannot obtain on their own.
